Yes. Every state change — file uploads, step completions, signoffs, version locks — emits an audit event that is written transactionally to a tamper-resistant log. Locked records and versions cannot be edited retroactively. This is a core architectural guarantee, not just a setting.

Evidence files are stored in AWS S3 (eu-north-1 region by default). Metadata is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Neon. All data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Enterprise customers can request specific region configurations.
